These rosaries are flat out awesome! If you or the man you’re buying for doesn’t have one, trust me he won’t be disappointed. You can also customize the paracord, crucifix, beads, and saint medal. They also have a wide variety of pre-made options to pick from with some pretty cool names like; Red Redemption, Triple Threat, Knights Templar, Copper Belfast, Soldier’s Camo, and the Rattlesnake Paracord Military Rosary. Come on…how cool is that!!
They also carry pendants, bracelets, Irish penal pocket rosaries, and a few other very cool items. Plus a half dozen items for women!
Bible versus, prayers, prayer requests, reflections, confessions, or any thought you may have about your faith life. There’s something very non-millennial about actually writing your thoughts in a leather bound journal, instead of thumb typing them into your phone like a teenage girl.
The journal is 7.5″ x 5.25″, cream colored, lined pages with gold edging. The cover is embossed with the following; Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called. (I Timothy 6:12) The metal cross charm and engraved dogtag medallion God will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)
North Arrow has a large variety of extremely manly and very cool stainless steel rings. Most of them have a Bible verse or a cross on them. They are thick but have a comfort fit contour for every day wear.
I have one of these and I love it. It’s a great ring for the price. Extremely well made, sturdy, and very comfortable. I love wearing a visible reminder of my faith, it helps me stay on the path.
Fr. Larry Richards is a fantastic public speaker. If you think a book or a set of audio files by a priest are going to be boring, trust me, this guy will not let you doze off. The title for each chapter start with “Be a Man who is…”, followed by Holy, Wise, Loving, Strong, Repents, Stays Focused on the Final Goal, etc…
The price changes depending how you want to buy it. Amazon has the Kindle and Paperback for about $10 – click HERE. Google Play has it for about $9 – click HERE. And Fr. Richards has his own web site where you can buy each chapter ($2), a CD set ($10), and some other combo’s with a scripture guide all located HERE.
This is offered as a keychain, but I’ve seen several people on Etsy offer it as a necklace as well, depending on your preference. It’s obviously incredible sturdy since it’s made of nails and wires! Plus you can pick any color you want. In fact, you can pick up to three colors if you wanted to model it after your favorite sports team or college.
Cross measures approx. 1 3/4 inches in height and 1 1/4 inches in width. Oh and shipping is free if you click the site linked in the title or image above.
“I don’t have enough time in my day to pray” Oh yeah! Try this beautiful leather bound book of quick, one-minute prayers that will help you focus on God and His plans for your day. This great prayer book covers topics you care about, including: family, health, success, work, temptation, and more.
So it’s quick, easy, helpful, inexpensive and good looking…kinda like you!
This large, beautiful mug comes from another manly religious site/blog called The Catholic Gentlemen and is made of hand-thrown pottery and crafted in Wisconsin, USA. A black and silvery glaze speaks of refined taste and subtle class, while the Catholic Gentleman logo is a reminder of the calling of every man to the pursuit of holiness.
It’s a great site with great articles and the mug is top notch. I guarantee he/you won’t be disappointed.
I’m sure you’ve seen finger rosaries before, but they are usually metal with a small vertical cross sticking up out of it. It might be just me, but I find those very awkward to use. The more manly approach…make it out of wood! You can order these from a company called ZuverGoodsCo off Etsy.com. Plus they make them out of several species of wood such as tigerwood, bubinga, zebrawood, african mahogany, bocate, white ash, and maple finger.
They are slightly more expensive (~$40) than the metal ones ($1) you are used to, but they are well worth it!
#9: Mass Intentions
How about having a mass offered for the intentions of that special man in your life? It’s easier than you think. All you have to do is call your local parish office and tell them you want to offer a mass for ________. Pick the day and time, and as long as it’s not already taken, and it’s yours. It’s usually only about $10
So what does this mean? During the petitions at that mass you’ve selected, they will announce that the entire congregation should pray for the intentions of your special someone. Talk about the power of prayer!
In a mountain valley in Wyoming, a small group of Carmelite Monks were looking for a way to support their growing community. After much discernment and prayer, the monks had the inspiration to start roasting coffee and selling the beans online.
They sell it by the bag or you can buy K-Cups too. Oh, and they are selling tea’s as well. So there’s something for everyone!
This is an Apostolic Exhortation written by Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted, Diocese of Phoenix in 2015. That’s a mouthful, right. Trust me when I tell you, this will be the greatest and most inspiring 23 pages you’ll ever read. It’s a call-out to every man on what’s wrong with the world and what our role should be.
Also, did I mention it’s free! Plus you have multiple ways to digest this. You can read it online, download the PDF, print it out and read it, or….there’s an audio version, if reading isn’t your thing or you want something to do while you drive to work.
All version are located HERE.
There’s a lot of different options when it comes to “christian clothes”, but I’ve found the Active Faith brand to be geared more towards, you guessed it, an active man…which is the main reason I like this product. They have hoodies, shirts, socks, and hats. The other reason I like them and the reason I think a lot of men don’t wear christian clothes is they have several different designs, some of which are big and bold when it comes to announcing your faith on your clothes and some that are more subtle. Most guys don’t like to wear big bold statements, so the subtle approach offers a great alternative.
Hoodies are about $50 and shirts are about $30. So they maybe on the high side when compared to Old Navy, but then again, I saw a pair of sweatpants advertised on Facebook for $100 by some random company…so…..this is somewhere in between.
12 days of Christmas…12 gifts for the Catholic man. Seems like a good number, don’t you think. If you have any other suggestions, please feel free to leave a link in the comments section below.
Happy Shopping Everyone!!!
